About the role

This role leads electrical construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring all work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company, client, and project requirements. The Project Manager develops project plans, estimates, schedules, staffing strategies, and financial forecasts while coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to achieve successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are adhered to as specified.
  • Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposals or plans to determine time frames, work plans, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee projects through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure adherence to design, budget, and schedule, including interfacing with customers to validate expectations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage activities of company personnel and subcontractors on assigned projects.
  • Generate billings and lead the collections process for projects.
  • Conduct frequent project visits to assess progress, needs, or issues with field supervision and personnel.
  • Assist in planning future labor and material needs for the project.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to the job site by working directly with vendors.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and employees by consistently meeting expectations and offering innovative solutions.
  • Provide consistent feedback and reports to the business unit vice president.
  • Manage the project review process with a focus on financial forecasting.
  • Provide mentoring, advice, and direction to subordinates and junior personnel for their development.
  • Continuously expand professional knowledge and skills to enhance innovation and productivity.
  • Ensure job site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards.
  • Support and participate in company-sponsored initiatives and activities.

Requirements

  • ICT, Integrated Security Solutions, and AV systems experience preferred.
  • BICSI RCDD certification is preferred.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Assistant project management experience preferred.
  • High level of experience related to structured cabling installations.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in computer-based estimating for item-by-item breakdowns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of billing and collections processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
