Job Summary
We are seeking a Structured Cabling & ICT (Voice & Data) Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage low voltage projects, coordinate with managers, and oversee technicians.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all low voltage projects in local and surrounding areas.
- Coordinate low-voltage projects with managers in the local office.
- Keep track of and report project progress.
- Generate bills of material with supply distributors to deliver materials to projects.
- Meet with clients and build long-term relationships.
- Supervise low voltage technicians in the Jacksonville area.
- Day-to-day scheduling of technicians from projects to local service calls.
- Coordinate project labor for other PMs within the IS business unit and local managers in the office.
- Aid with all low voltage project estimates in the Jacksonville area and other locations.
- Perform site surveys to determine estimates.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare estimates.
- Prepare bill of material take-offs and input in estimation software (ConEst).
- Prepare the narrative for low voltage scope proposals for projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in copper (Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic (SM/MM) cabling, installation, splicing, termination, and testing inside a commercial building.
- Minimum of two years’ work experience reading blueprints, site layouts, and performing site surveys.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with testing equipment (e.g., Fluke) and troubleshooting tools inside a commercial building.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with racks, patch panels, raceways, and cable management inside a commercial building.
- Working experience in project management (any level).
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- COINS experience preferred.
