Structure Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Structure Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures in the Miami-Dade, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway construction and maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Must have transportation to and from Company office - Ability to take direction - Produce quality work in an efficient manner - Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures - Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner - High School Diploma/GED - Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing) - Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations - Carry out simple arithmetic functions - Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job - Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology - Ability to use smart phone and applications - Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends - Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions - Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required - Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule

Full-time. Must be flexible and available to work on-call when required. Day shift & Night shift needed.
