Structural Welder/Fitter

About the role

This is a Welder/Fabricator role where you will be challenged to fit and fabricate. This is NOT a production role where you will lay the same bead every day. You will be working on large machines for the logging and farm industry. These require knowledge of thick mild steel.

Responsibilities

• Fitting & layout experience
• Welding on thick metals up to 3" thick using .052 wire
• Reading blueprints and welding symbols
• Working on large machines for the logging and farm industry
• May involve some lifting and physical labor

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience MIG welding on thick materials
• Able to pass a medical exam/fit test
• Familiarity with Jib or Overheard Cranes & rigging

Qualifications

• Proficient with running .052 wire and welding on thick metals up to 3" thick
• Knowledge of thick mild steel

Skills

• MIG welding on thick materials
• Reading blueprints and welding symbols
• Fitting & layout experience
• Experience with Jib or Overheard Cranes & rigging

$25-$29/hr. DOE
