As a Structural Technician IV, you will oversee the most complex and critical assembly operations in the ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area. IAS is a leader in ISR and aviation, specializing in innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute highly complex and critical assembly operations.
  • Provide expert technical support and mentorship to all technician levels.
  • Lead large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Act as a key liaison between the production floor and engineering management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and integrate best practices.
  • Conduct advanced inspections and quality assurance checks.
  • Develop and implement training programs for team members.
  • Ensure optimal maintenance and calibration of all tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to enhance overall manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

You Must Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Mastery in blueprint reading and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
  • Advanced experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable.
  • Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

We Prefer

  • Associate’s degree in aerospace manufacturing or related discipline.
  • Advanced certifications in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale assembly projects.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Required to be on your feet for most of the work shift.
  • Use of hand and power tools requiring hand/finger dexterity.
  • Exposure to noisy and potentially hazardous environments; proper safety gear must be worn.
  • Ability to travel may be required.

Pay

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $34.90 - $47.99 per hour. Compensation varies depending on key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
