Convert job-related information into drawings following established design and drafting standards. Apply working knowledge of structural systems to depict building components accurately and assist in identifying relational discrepancies in plans and details.
Responsibilities
- Drawing production, building modeling, and applying established production standards to assignments
- Extract relevant information from models/plans of other disciplines and implement structural requirements
- Conduct field surveys
- Review shop drawings, as directed
- Develop working knowledge of analysis and plan production software (Revit/AutoCAD)
- Assist with engineering administrative activities
- Support miscellaneous projects and general administrative tasks
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering Drafting or an Engineering-related curriculum (encouraged, not required)
- Appropriate continuing education
- Proficient in Revit
This position primarily supports our Chicago office; working in the Chicago office is preferred. Candidates in the Milwaukee or Madison areas will also be considered.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
Pay
Salary range: $52,000–$100,000 annually. Expected compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location.
