Client is seeking an enthusiastic Structural Supervising Engineer with experience supporting Power Generation and Heavy Industrial Projects in either our Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC offices.

Responsibilities

• Managing structural project activities from conception to construction including supporting structural site work.
• Supporting projects including simple and combined cycle powerplants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits throughout the United States that require all facets of structural engineering and design.

Requirements

• Eight years of experience with structural engineering and design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Must have PE license.
• Any new hire will be required to be within commuting distance of either the Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC offices.
• We are not interested in candidates who want to work remotely but would make a case-by-case determination based on the applicant.
• Direct hires are preferred, but will consider contract staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering and design.
• Minimum 3+ years in an engineering leadership position.
• Experience with industry standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, Mathcad, etc.
• The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of collaborating with the multi-discipline engineers and designers.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in US.

Skills

• Experience with seismic analysis and design of structures, systems, and components for nuclear power plants.
• Experience with ANSYS and Autodesk Advance Steel.
