Structural Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a well-qualified structural engineer to join our team remotely, working from an office near or in the city where this job is posted. The ideal candidate thrives on variety, as we serve numerous project types and niches within structural engineering. This is primarily a design engineering position with a workload distribution of 60% engineering and calculations, 30% drafting, and 10% field or site visits.
Responsibilities include design, engineering, drafting, client relations, project inspections, and site meetings—handling all tasks from project inception to completion.
Requirements
- Civil/Structural or related Engineering degree from an accredited institution
- 2+ years minimum post-graduation experience working for a professional engineering firm (internships do not count)
- E.I. or P.E. certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2016 or later
- Experience with Risa 2D/3D or similar structural analysis software
- Solidworks or similar FEA experience is a plus
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in structural design and investigation of heavy civil structures and/or large commercial structures.
