Structural Project Engineer (PE) – Design & Analysis
About the role
The Structural Project Engineer (PE) position at Weston Solutions, Inc. supports a diverse portfolio of commercial, state, and federal projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can execute structural design work independently, partner with senior engineers, and deliver high-quality, code-compliant solutions across various structures.
Responsibilities
- Technical report writing
- Analyze existing infrastructures to develop Preliminary Engineering Reports (PERs)
- Field investigations and site reconnaissance
- Data collection and utility coordination
- Engineering cost estimating and analysis
- Structural design calculations
- Engineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction
- Bid and award services
- Construction phase engineering services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural focus preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
- 4–12 years of structural engineering experience, including independent design execution
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design tools (e.g., RAM or similar); AutoCAD experience preferred
- Experience designing structural systems including concrete, steel, foundations, and related elements
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards; exposure to federal design criteria (e.g., UFC, UFGS) preferred
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear, well-organized technical documentation
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with limited oversight
- Willingness to travel 10–20% for site visits and project support
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Experience with federal design criteria (e.g., UFC, UFGS)
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design tools (e.g., RAM or similar)
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Experience designing structural systems including concrete, steel, foundations, and related elements
- Ability to produce clear, well-organized technical documentation
- Strong communication skills

Pay
Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Salary Range: $81,549 - $107,791 - $133,824
