About the role

The Structural Project Engineer (PE) position at Weston Solutions, Inc. supports a diverse portfolio of commercial, state, and federal projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can execute structural design work independently, partner with senior engineers, and deliver high-quality, code-compliant solutions across various structures.

Responsibilities

  • Technical report writing
  • Analyze existing infrastructures to develop Preliminary Engineering Reports (PERs)
  • Field investigations and site reconnaissance
  • Data collection and utility coordination
  • Engineering cost estimating and analysis
  • Structural design calculations
  • Engineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction
  • Bid and award services
  • Construction phase engineering services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structural focus preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
  • 4–12 years of structural engineering experience, including independent design execution
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design tools (e.g., RAM or similar); AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Experience designing structural systems including concrete, steel, foundations, and related elements
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards; exposure to federal design criteria (e.g., UFC, UFGS) preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear, well-organized technical documentation
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with limited oversight
  • Willingness to travel 10–20% for site visits and project support

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Experience with federal design criteria (e.g., UFC, UFGS)
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design tools (e.g., RAM or similar)
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Experience designing structural systems including concrete, steel, foundations, and related elements
  • Ability to produce clear, well-organized technical documentation
  • Strong communication skills

Pay

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Salary Range: $81,549 - $107,791 - $133,824
