Structural Project Engineer (Healthcare)-Seattle
Summary Of Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design efforts from schematic design (SD) through construction administration (CA) for mid-scale building projects of approximately $20M–$40M and above.
Own the structural scope of assigned projects, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and alignment with project goals, schedule, and budget.
Design structural systems in steel, concrete, masonry, and mass timber for a range of building types, including commercial, workplace, aviation interiors, and other project typologies.
Run projects with strong autonomy, independently managing structural design tasks across the full project lifecycle from concept through construction.
Oversee and mentor 2–3 junior engineers at a time, providing technical guidance, reviewing their work, and supporting their professional development.
Apply strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements to structural designs, ensuring compliance and constructability.
Use Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis tools to produce and coordinate structural models, drawings, and construction documents.
Cook up closely with architects, MEP, lighting, and BIM teams across 3–5 disciplines to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary designs.
Participate actively in a collaborative, design-driven process, contributing structural insight to enhance overall building performance and design quality.
Execute projects on schedule and within budget, managing priorities and communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Resolve complex structural and design issues independently across multiple project phases, from early design through construction.
Support construction administration by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and addressing field issues related to structural design.
Qualification Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in building structural design (not bridge-heavy or roadway).
- Experience delivering mid-scale projects (~$20M - $40M+).
- Ability to work independently across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of codes, jurisdictions, and design software.
- PE Certification (Preferred).
- Exposure to mass timber + diverse project types (Preferred).
- Experience mentoring or overseeing junior staff (Preferred).
- Software: Revit, AutoCAD, Structural Analysis Tools (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000).
(Revit experience required at a minimum, ability to review).

This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay And Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $95,000.00 - $115,000.00/yr.
