About the role
A licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado with strong technical proficiency and mature engineering judgment to design and manage a diverse portfolio of projects nationwide across a wide range of building types and structural systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural engineering calculations, project documents, and technical reports.
- Assist in the supervision, mentorship, and coordination of design engineers and CAD staff.
- Provide construction administration services including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and performing site visits as needed.
- Make independent engineering decisions using sound, mature professional judgment.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of company-wide design standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Colorado, in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience, primarily in commercial building design.
- Demonstrated responsibility for independently executing project assignments, including structural analysis, design, and preparation of engineering documents.
- Proficiency with structural engineering software including Revit Structure, RISA, Bentley, and CSI platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
- Technical proficiency across a variety of structural systems, materials, and building types.
Preferred Experience
- Structural design experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Office
- Institutional
- Multi-family residential
- Parking structures
- Retail
- Health care
- Mixed-use developments
- Light industrial
- Experience managing components of complex projects and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
