Responsibilities
- Use expertise in welding and metal fabrication to assemble components with precision, following blueprints, work orders, and instructions.
- Proficient in various gas metal welding techniques, including GMAW, GTAW, SAW, and SMAW.
- Ensure high-quality craftsmanship in every project by identifying, laying-out, positioning, and securing parts and assemblies according to specifications and/or prints.
- Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies, ensuring joint penetration and partial joint penetration in various welding positions.
- Work with an overhead crane and other equipment as needed.
- Read and understand drawings and blueprints, and accurately execute work orders and quality assurance (QA) standards per job requirements.
- Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently, and perform duties indoors and occasionally outdoors.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of welding and fabrication experience in an industrial metal shop.
- Successfully complete a weld test before employment.
- Pass certifications in both GMAW and GTAW welding within 30 days.
- Advanced ability in reading and interpreting blueprints, including dimensioning, welding symbols, etc.
- Proficient in the use of manual plasma cutter and oxyfuel cutting torch.
- Knowledge of metal plate types, sizes, and shapes (steel, aluminum, stainless, galvanized, etc.).
- Experience with overhead cranes.
- Valid driver's license required.
Qualifications
- Completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Participation in random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested.
Skills
- Gas metal welding techniques (GMAW, GTAW, SAW, SMAW).
- Reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Manual plasma cutter and oxyfuel cutting torch operations.
- Understanding of metal plate types and their properties.
- Overhead crane operation.

Pay
USD $26.00/Hr. USD $38.00/Hr.
Schedule
Flexible schedule with occasional work outside normal business hours.
