Structural Integrity Lead, Space Based Interceptor

YOUR MISSION

This is a generational opportunity to architect a solution to some of the most challenging mission sets in missile defense, not to mention aerospace engineering as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and enforce processes and standards ensuring structural integrity across the SBI program.
• Develop and validate structural models and manage structural margins across configuration while defining and maintaining fracture control, fatigue, creep, and damage tolerance methodologies.
• Establish the processes by which verification and test activities related to structural integrity are performed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years experience developing and managing Fracture Control Plans and performing structural analysis using FEM methods
• Proven leadership in design, analysis, and verification on a major aerospace program
• Ability to scale analytical rigor to match program maturity and risk
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and coordinate across hardware and software boundaries
• Expertise with NASTRAN, ABAQUS, NASGRO or comparable analysis tools
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred
• U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
• Experience with missile defense or space vehicle programs
• Strong track record leading cross-functional engineering teams and managing design-to-delivery cycles
• Background in systems engineering or technical program management
• T&S/SCI clearance

COMPENSATION

• Base Salary: $150,000-$255,000

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Denver or Colorado Springs. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
