Position Summary
PROENERGY is seeking skilled Welders to join their fabrication team. This role involves using MIG (GMAW) and FCAW welding processes, along with flame-cutting equipment, to fabricate and assemble power-generation components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and production specifications. The position is based in their 50,000-square-foot climate-controlled facility and offers opportunities on both first and third shifts.
Position Responsibilities
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
- Align, secure materials using fixtures, jigs, and clamps
- Perform welding in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Interpret blueprints, layouts, work orders, and welding specifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Strong work ethic (reliability, consistency, high-quality work)
- Positive attitude (optimistic, solution-focused mindset)
- Personal accountability (ownership of actions, meeting commitments, integrity)
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension)
- US work authorization required
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to pass a weld qualification test in FCAW 2G and 3G positions
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and PPE
- Proficiency using measuring and inspection tools
- Forklift operation experience
- Experience operating overhead cranes and rigging equipment safely
- Familiarity with Miller welding systems
