About The Position

Lumos & Associates is expanding its presence in Sacramento, California, and seeks an entrepreneurial Structural Engineering Project Manager to establish and grow the firm's operations in this region. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, project management skills, and a passion for structural engineering and business development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in structural engineering consulting and project management.
  • Registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in California; ability to obtain the license within six months of hire required.
  • Understanding of computer-aided design and drafting software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license with three or fewer demerit points.

  • Proven expertise in developing and managing new business opportunities and client proposals.
  • Strong technical background and demonstrated ability to lead project teams.
  • High level of creativity, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in maintaining project budgets and developing new business.
  • Self-starter with a track record of achieving results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience leading and motivating a team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in cost/benefit analysis.
  • Effective interpersonal communication and team-building skills.
