About the role
AECOM is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineering Co-op to be based in Boston, MA. This position is expected to begin in January 2027.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with report writing and setup.
- Development of field forms.
- Aid in data entry, editing, and creation of drawings and tables/charts.
- Develop plans and details using CAD.
- Perform engineering calculations using examples and guidance from senior engineers.
- Participate in field work involving hands-on inspection of bridges, tunnels, and/or parking structures throughout Massachusetts.
- Document field observations and findings.
- Occasionally work nights.
- Support senior and junior engineers with engineering-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed two years of study.
- Experience with Excel and MS Word.
- Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD is preferred.
- Experience with MathCAD is preferred.
- Experience with modeling software is preferred.
- Having OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred.
