About the role

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team. You will apply structural engineering and detailing techniques, work on projects that include bridge and/or transit designs, and interface with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Apply structural engineering and detailing techniques
  • Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, and prestress concrete, box culvert, and interchange design for highway projects) and/or transit (elevated and/or underground stations and line structures) projects
  • Select standard engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations
  • Assist with geometric layout and quantity development
  • Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs
  • Interface with clients depending on role on the project
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design
  • Preference is given to local candidates
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous structural engineer experience
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar experience
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
