Responsibilities
- Own structural engineering work packages for the production site design and development, with a heavy focus on integrated high rise facilities.
- Design elements of multidisciplinary, multistory projects for new construction and modifications to existing structures. This includes all phases of project development, from conceptual feasibility studies, preliminary design through construction completion.
- Perform standard and complex structural engineering analyses, designs and calculations using standard methodology and principles and other viable approaches. Our structures are unique with few precedents and aggressive schedules, ability to think outside the box is a must.
- Create structural design drawings, calculations, and design summary presentations.
- Estimate material quantities, schedules, and costs for construction projects.
- Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines.
- Perform project control tasks, including project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Manage multi-discipline design and construction projects, including coordination of typical systems found in high rise buildings (MEP, HVAC, etc).
- Interact with other engineers, contractors, fabricators, and various stakeholders.
- Provide direct onsite field observations and resolve field conflicts in real time.
- Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to the original plans and specifications.
- Maintain the construction schedule, identify and solve problems.
