Structural Engineer - Precast

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of precast buildings and structures
• Oversee and coordinate project milestones, ensuring the client and internal teams are aligned on deliverables
• Attend internal kickoff meetings and external coordination meetings
• Develop designs for structural systems and components
• Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines
• Maintain project documentation, ensuring all deliverables—calculations, drawings, and reports—are accurate and up to date
• Review and approve internal design documents, drawings, and calculations, ensuring compliance with project scope, quality standards, and internal procedures
• Cookordinate and schedule internal quality reviews
• Communicate any discrepancies or scope changes to the Project Manager to ensure alignment with client expectations
• Support construction partners in resolving field issues, ensuring that they are efficiently and accurately addressed to avoid project delays
• Engage with clients to confirm expectations are aligned
• Align engineering tasks with budgeted hours and project priorities
• Transfer legacy knowledge to ensure continuity of client relationships
• Help ensure repeat business by understanding and delivering on client values

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis, from an ABET accredited University
• PE License
• Excellent oral, written communication/presentation skills
• 5-7 years’ experience in structural engineering, minimum of 5 years of precast concrete specialty design experience
• Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills
• Pay close attention to detail, while working with a team to deliver high quality of work
• Proficient with structural engineering software, such as RAM, RISA3-D, and SAP2000
• Experienced in steel, concrete, and other material design
