Structural Engineer - PE Required

About the role
Reporting to DRA America’s Infrastructure & Civil Engineering HOD, you will be responsible for Civil engineering, project discipline design activities and coordination. Responsible for the design and construction of civil engineering works, structures and buildings and for the preparation of drawings and specifications for such works. The Civil Project Engineer can also act as the contractual manager of all civil contracts on site.

- Liaises and coordinates with the client, project manager and engineers of other disciplines to ensure adherence to project and client requirements and specifications.
- Manage and coordinate with external consultants.
- Manages the time schedule, cost, quality and scope on all civil and structural contracts of the project.
- Manages the civil and structural site supervisors to ensure that civil and structural contractors perform to project safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Effectively utilizes company resources.
- Accurately marks-up designs for drafting personnel.
- Ensures Quality standards adhered to by checking accuracy of work before it gets issued.
- Advises, monitors and controls all civil and structural site staff and contractors on behalf of the Site Project Manager.
- Assures the client and project manager that the design, construction, testing and commissioning of a Civil and structural installation, under his/her charge, complies with all safety and statutory requirements.
- Acts within the framework of civil and structural contracts under his/her management.
- Manages high level of risks within projects relating to engineering processes, systems, equipment and infrastructure.
- Prepare engineering proposals estimates and budgets for civil, concrete and structural works.
- Oversee the design of civil works (excavation, embankments, roads, culverts, buried services, structural concrete foundations work, structure works (buildings and equipment support).
- Producing and signing off of drawings for construction.
- Drafting scope of work documentation for civil and structural concrete work.
- Dealings with municipalities, agencies, contractors, and owners.
- Reviewing civil and structural drawings, advising on aspects of design and constructability.
- Involvement with all procurement of civil.
Requirements
- 5 - 10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 4 Year Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Pay
Depending on Experience (DOE), starting at $100,000+ with full-time benefits and additional compensation for project-based work.
