About the role

The Senior Structural Engineer position at GRAEF is ideal for someone who enjoys a technical design role, working on a wide variety of building projects including healthcare, high-education, multi-family, hospitality, commercial and renovation projects, as well as managing and leading projects, and assisting in developing business for the structural discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Project oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management, as well as hands-on involvement in the design process on an extensive array of projects.
  • Mentor less-experienced structural staff.
  • Manage and lead projects.
  • Development of proposals and tracking potential projects and clients, playing a key role in business development activities that would continue building our backlog in FL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Master’s degree with a structural emphasis preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural design of buildings.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.
  • Professional registration as a PE in FL and ability to gain registration in other states as required for work.

Qualifications

  • The ability to serve as a technical structural resource for a multi-disciplined team.
  • Proficient with Bluebeam and REVIT.
  • Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members.
  • Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development is preferred.

Pay

Salary is commensurate with experience.
