About the role
The Structural Engineer will be part of Garver’s Water Design Center, supporting the development of structural designs for water and wastewater treatment projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of structural designs for new water and wastewater treatment plants or improvements to existing facilities.
- Work with a team of multi-disciplined engineers, including civil, process, structural, mechanical, electrical, and I&C project engineers, design engineers, and BIM Technicians.
- Develop construction plans and specifications for water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
- Conduct written and oral project reporting for clients and team leader, including project design status, upcoming milestones, project accounting, percent completes, progress reports, etc.
- Prepare and execute Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Assist with internal and external project workshops.
- Continuously learn and adapt to project needs and team-wide requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 5-10 years of technical experience in structural design engineering.
- Basic understanding of structural engineering design in concrete, masonry, and structural steel.
- PE or ability to obtain a PE registration with 2 years.
