Collaborating with our expert architects and engineers, you’ll design structural systems for a variety of building types including airports, government and mission-critical facilities, data centers, and large-scale manufacturing facilities. You’ll be accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality of design deliverables, whether working independently or leading a project team. With our global reach, you’ll have access to industry experts around the world and opportunities for national and international travel.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for diverse building types such as airports, government and mission-critical facilities, data centers, and large-scale manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality of design deliverables.
• Work independently or lead a project team as required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis.
• 5+ years of relevant buildings-related structural design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM).
• Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE).
• Desire to take independent initiative and ownership of work.
• United States citizenship.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Structural Engineer (SE) license.
• Experience with Revit.
• Familiarity with Federal government clients, standards, and criteria (e.g., UFC).
• Experience with design-build and early contractor involvement delivery methods.
• United States security clearance, or the ability to obtain.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $120,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
