Structural Engineer – Commercial & Industrial

Responsibilities

• Aid in the creation of detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, and site observation reports.
• Perform structural calculations using various design materials, particularly steel and concrete.
• Select appropriate building materials for projects.
• Prepare cost estimates for capital projects.
• Create and assist with project proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
• Attend client meetings to ensure designs meet their needs and objectives.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to production staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred but not required: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas.
• Experience with Structural Drafting software such as AutoCAD, CadWorx, Revit, etc.
• Experience with Structural Analysis software like RISA.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent in presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work under pressure, make decisions independently, and handle confidential information responsibly.
