Responsibilities
- Aid in the creation of detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, and site observation reports.
- Perform structural calculations using various design materials, particularly steel and concrete.
- Select appropriate building materials for projects.
- Prepare cost estimates for capital projects.
- Create and assist with project proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
- Attend client meetings to ensure designs meet their needs and objectives.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to production staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred but not required: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas.
- Experience with Structural Drafting software such as AutoCAD, CadWorx, Revit, etc.
- Experience with Structural Analysis software like RISA.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent in presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to work under pressure, make decisions independently, and handle confidential information responsibly.
