Responsibilities
- Aid in the design and creation of detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, written reports, and site observation reports.
- Carry out structural calculations using various design materials, particularly steel and concrete.
- Select the most suitable building materials for the projects.
- Create and support project proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
- Attend client meetings to ensure the design aligns with their needs and objectives.
- Lead, guide, and instruct production staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 3-6 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas (or on track to obtain).
- Familiarity with Structural Drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
- Proficiency in Structural Analysis software like RISA, STAAD, Enercalc, etc.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent in presentation, written communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Capable of handling pressure, being self-directed, exhibiting good business judgment, and managing confidential information.
- Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
