Structural Engineer - Buildings and Facilities
About the role
C&S Companies is seeking an entry or mid-level Structural Engineer to join our structural engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or education in structural design including buildings and facilities, with an emphasis on structural design (steel, concrete and masonry).
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive project solutions.
- Use Revit and AutoCAD for structural design and documentation.
- Interact with clients and provide technical guidance during project phases.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and engineering design requirements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 3-15 years of related experience including skills in structural design of steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures.
- If experience is 3 to 5 years, Engineering In Training (EIT) is required.
- If over 5 years of experience, a Professional Engineering license is required.
- Experience with Revit is highly desired.
- Ability to interact in a fast-paced multidiscipline design team environment and interface with clients.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with building codes and engineering design requirements.
Qualifications
- Hands-on structural engineering design experience in co-op/internship assignments preferred.
- Previous field experience in structural design is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Based in our Syracuse headquarters with limited regional travel (less than 15%).
