Structural Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer with 6-10 years of related professional experience to contribute to our diverse portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural engineering principles, a passion for technical design, and a keen interest in integrated design and delivery processes.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of design documentation including BIM models, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct research on materials, products, building codes, systems, and sustainable design practices to inform project decisions.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architecture, sustainability, construction, and other consultants, to support the integrated delivery of projects.
- Evaluate system selection based on analysis of multiple design options and established constraints.
- Clearly and concisely convey technical solutions and performance objectives while ensuring complete project alignment with client goals, project design, sustainability objectives, schedule, budget, constructability and post-occupancy performance.
- Perform onsite surveys of existing building conditions and documenting field measurements and observations.
- Participate in cross-discipline career development.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from ABET accredited structural engineering program. Master of Science (MS) degree from ABET accredited structural engineering program a plus.
- Experience: 6-10 years of full-time structural engineering experience in an engineering firm, with exposure to analysis, design, and documentation for vertical building projects utilizing structural steel, reinforced concrete, wood and masonry framing systems.
- Knowledge: IBC, ASCE and ICC Building Codes and Standards required.
- Licensing and Certification: Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam and EIT Certification required. Structural Engineer (S.E.) license preferred.

Pay
$100,000 - $135,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
