About the role
NELSON is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5-15+ years of experience to support multi-discipline projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct junior engineers and designers
- Produce a complete design package with minimum oversight
- Develop detailed plans and drawings per project specifications
- Perform industrial and offshore design
- Include field experiences
- Create calculations, checkings, and other design tasks
Requirements
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis from an accredited university
- MS degree is desirable
- Professional Engineer License or Engineer in Training Certificate
- Experience in industrial, oil & gas, and/or marine structures
- Knowledge of U.S. Codes and standards
- Software proficiency (MS Office, Teams, structural analysis programs), Risa/SACS preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional and detail-oriented
