Structural Engineer

Responsibilities Seeking a Structural Engineer who will work on-site in Sparks Glencoe, MD in a full-time capacity, collaborating with project teams to design and analyze structures for new and existing buildings.Day-to-day responsibilities include performing structural calculations, developing design solutions, and conducting structural analysis for a variety of projects. The role involves preparing drawings and details using computer-aided design (CAD) toolsCoordinating with architects and other engineering disciplines, and assisting in inspections and evaluations of existing structures. The Structural Engineer will contribute to remediation and renovation projects, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and support clear documentation and communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Qualifications 3+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably focused on building design.Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building design and remediation projects.Proficiency in Structural Analysis and Calculations to evaluate loads, member capacities, and overall structural performance.Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to produce accurate drawings, details, and models for structural systems.Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related field); advanced degree or professional licensure (EIT/PE) is beneficial.Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and materials (e.g., concrete, steel, masonry, wood) for both new construction and renovation work.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.Experience in inspection, assessment, or remediation of existing structures is a plus.
