Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural steel components and systems for various construction projects.
- Develop detailed plans, drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
- Perform structural calculations to ensure the safety and stability of steel structures.
- Cook up with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure design feasibility and adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare and review technical reports, project documentation, and construction schedules.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on steel structures.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and structural analysis tools (STAAD, SAP2000, etc.).
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
