Structural Engineer

Job Roles And Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for new and existing buildings.
• Perform structural calculations and load analysis.
• Develop structural design solutions for building projects.
• Prepare structural permit drawings, details, and documentation.
• Work with architects and MEP engineers on multidisciplinary design teams.
• Design structures using concrete, steel, masonry, and wood.
• Review building codes and ensure designs meet applicable requirements.
• Assist with inspections and evaluations of existing structures.
• Support renovation and structural remediation projects.
• Coordinate structural drawings with architectural and MEP plans.
• Prepare accurate CAD drawings and structural details.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, architects, and engineering teams.
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and safety throughout project development.

Qualifications And Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of structural engineering experience preferred.
• Building design experience strongly preferred.
• Experience developing structural permit drawings.
• Experience working with architects and MEP engineers.
• Knowledge of structural design using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Proficiency with CAD and structural analysis software.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes and engineering standards.
• Strong structural calculations and analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• EIT or PE preferred.
• Experience with inspections, assessments, or remediation is a plus.
• US citizenship or Green Card required.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available.
