Structural Engineer

Join our client’s team to design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products across advanced mission payloads, electronic systems, integrated aircraft, and orbital space exploration systems. You will analyze complex metallic and composite structures throughout the entire product lifecycle in a dynamic engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products and services ranging from payloads to space exploration systems.
• Examine complex metallic and composite structures and systems.
• Participate in the design and development of new products and processes throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Perform physical job duties including walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs/steps.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and finite element structural analysis (FEA) software (e.g., MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, ANSYS).
• Demonstrated experience in static/dynamic analyses, as well as fatigue and damage tolerance analysis using tools such as NASGRO or AFGROW.
• Ability to perform classical structural analysis using industry-standard hand calculations and author substantiation reports.
• Solid background in the Aerospace and Defense industry with knowledge of parametric design and model-based definition.
• Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
