About the role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Oakland, Seattle, Long Beach, Portland, or San Diego, California. This role offers the opportunity to work on prestigious infrastructure projects and collaborate with experts across various disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initial pursuit stages through to completion
  • Perform tasks requiring a broad and deep knowledge in structural engineering, bridge engineering, or marine infrastructure
  • Conduct structural analysis and design including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design, timber design, deep foundations, gravity-based foundations, earth retaining structures, etc.
  • Interface with specialists in other disciplines such as geotechnical, coastal, engineer-divers, and mechanical and electrical engineers
  • Prepare and review calculations for analysis, engineering reports, and technical specifications
  • Create construction drawings and other documents as needed
  • Perform construction administration activities, including site inspections

Requirements

  • Hold an M.S. or higher degree in Structural Engineering, along with a minimum of four (4) years of professional experience as a structural engineer
  • Hold a Professional Engineer (P.E. or P.Eng.) license
  • Experience should be in at least one of marine infrastructure (ports, harbors), coastal engineering, bridges, tunnels, or other heavy civils
  • The ability and willingness to travel and perform required fieldwork
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and great relationship-building skills

Pay

Base compensation ranges from $103,200 to $159,600 for the Oakland location. Actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, skill set, and/or location.

Schedule

This role is offered on a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with occasional in-office days.
