Structural Engineer
About the role
As a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects, designing and analyzing structural components for heavy industrial, utility, and infrastructure industries. You will ensure projects meet safety and performance requirements, leveraging your expertise in structural engineering codes and design software. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively with clients and team members.
You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations, acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems, uncover root causes to difficult problems, and evaluate pros and cons, risks and benefits of different solution options.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural components for heavy industrial, utility, and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure designs comply with safety and performance requirements.
- Apply structural engineering codes and proficiency with design software.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver practical solutions.
- Comply with all client and industry safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in plan development and drafting software.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software.
- Knowledge in design of concrete and steel elements per code requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certification for under 5 years of experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license if over 5 years of experience.
