About the role
As a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects, designing and analyzing structural components for heavy industrial, utility, and infrastructure industries. You will ensure designs meet safety and performance requirements, leveraging expertise in structural engineering codes and proficiency with design software. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential to work effectively with clients and team members.
You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations, acquire data from multiple and diverse sources to solve problems, uncover root causes to difficult issues, and evaluate pros and cons, risks, and benefits of different solution options.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural components for heavy industrial, utility, and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety and performance requirements.
- Utilize structural engineering codes and design software effectively.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver practical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in plan development and drafting software.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software.
- Knowledge in design of concrete and steel elements per code requirements.
- Ability to comply with all client and industry safety requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) certification for under 5 years of experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license if over 5 years of experience.
