Our client operates within the fast-moving data center and digital infrastructure sector, where engineering, construction, technology, energy, and operations come together to support always-on environments. Its multidisciplinary teams plan, design, deliver, and operate complex facilities with a strong focus on reliability, safety, scalability, and efficient use of power and cooling. The work calls for close coordination across technical disciplines and offers the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure that supports the continued growth of cloud computing, AI, and connected services.

About the role

The Structural Engineer will support new construction, expansion, and equipment-intensive facility projects. The work includes building systems, equipment support, foundations, wind and seismic demands, and field coordination, with an emphasis on safe, constructible solutions that accommodate heavy infrastructure and future change.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, foundations, and equipment-support systems
  • Develop calculations, specifications, design narratives, details, and construction documents
  • Evaluate gravity, wind, seismic, vibration, and equipment-loading requirements
  • Coordinate structure with architectural layouts, MEP distribution, rooftop equipment, and construction sequencing
  • Support site due diligence, existing-condition assessments, and retrofit or expansion studies
  • Review shop drawings and delegated-design submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform site observations
  • Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, fabricators, contractors, and equipment vendors
  • Contribute to quality-control reviews and continuous improvement of design standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; master's degree preferred for advanced structural work
  • 5+ years of structural design experience for buildings or industrial facilities
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools such as RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar platforms
  • Working knowledge of current IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and applicable material standards
  • Experience with Revit and interdisciplinary BIM coordination preferred
  • EIT required; PE or SE license preferred based on project jurisdiction
  • Strong technical judgment, documentation, and field problem-solving skills

All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and must already possess long-term work authorization.
