Structural Drafter

Job Title: Revit Technician Position Overview This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in structural design and drafting. The Revit Technician will support Structural Engineers and Architects by creating and updating drawings for commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects. The ideal candidate has been exposed to Revit through school, internships, or previous drafting experience and is looking to continue developing their technical skills while learning from experienced professionals. Responsibilities Create and revise construction drawings using Revit and AutoCADAssist engineers and architects with project drafting and drawing updatesIncorporate redlines, markups, and design revisions into project documentsHelp develop floor plans, foundation plans, sections, details, and structural drawingsMaintain organized project files and drafting standardsParticipate in project coordination with engineering and architectural teamsSupport quality checks and drawing reviews before project delivery Required Qualifications Experience with Revit (school projects, internship, or professional experience)Basic AutoCAD knowledgeUnderstanding of construction drawings and drafting principlesStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, Drafting, or a related fieldInternship or coursework involving Revit and construction documentationExposure to structural, architectural, or construction projectsInterest in structural engineering and design Work Environment Fully onsite in Lansing, MIWork alongside a close-knit team of Structural Engineers, Architects, and DesignersExtensive mentorship and training opportunitiesExposure to a variety of commercial, industrial, and multifamily projectsStrong career growth potential for individuals interested in structural design, drafting, and engineering support This role is designed for someone early in their career who wants to gain hands-on Revit experience, learn from licensed professionals, and grow into more advanced design and drafting responsibilities over time. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
