About the role
We are seeking a skilled Structural Drafter to prepare and review structural drawings and documents, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, office standards, and drafting standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review structural drawings and documents, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Implement redlines from engineers, team managers, and clients to modify and create details and construction documents.
- Gather necessary information at the start of projects to produce a 50% review set with minimal guidance.
- Coordinate with engineers to ensure drawings meet design requirements and project objectives.
- Apply verbal directions accurately to the production of construction documents.
- Identify and resolve structural or constructability issues in collaboration with the Team Leader and engineer.
- Work independently and collaboratively with design and engineering teams, acting professionally and exemplifying core values.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of structural drafting experience.
- Proficiency in Revit with the ability to model complex structures and problem-solve Revit challenges.
- Experience working with engineering firms on various building types and materials.
- Advanced understanding of structural materials, construction types, and fasteners.
- Excellent communication skills with engineers, internal teams, contractors, and clients.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a structural office or related industry creating construction documents.
- Associates or advanced degree in a design/drafting-related field is strongly preferred.
- Ability to forecast project schedules and budgets.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $75,000 – $100,000 per year. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
