We are a well-established structural engineering consulting firm specializing in innovative structural engineering solutions for a diverse portfolio of projects, including high-rise residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and seismic retrofit developments. Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types using applicable engineering principles and design standards.
  • Prepare structural calculations, engineering reports, and design documentation.
  • Develop and review structural drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Utilize structural analysis and design software to produce accurate engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the design process.
  • Lead or participate in project coordination meetings.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and contractor requests.
  • Conduct field observations, site visits, and structural inspections during construction.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and industry standards.
  • Assist with mentoring junior engineers and managing project schedules and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of structural design experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; candidates actively pursuing a Structural Engineer (SE) license are highly preferred.
  • Experience designing structures using:
    • Reinforced Concrete
    • Post-Tensioned Concrete
    • Structural Steel
    • Wood
    • Masonry
  • Strong understanding of seismic design principles and structural dynamics.
  • Working knowledge of the California Building Code and applicable design standards (AISC, ACI, NDS).
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and engineering design software.
