Structural Design Engineer

About the role

The Structural Design Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing structural components and systems for various projects. This includes creating detailed drawings and specifications, collaborating with other engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed structural designs and engineering calculations
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure structural integrity and safety
• Review and analyze existing structures for potential improvements
• Prepare and present design reports and proposals
• Stay updated with the latest structural engineering technologies and standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in structural engineering
• Proficient in using structural analysis software such as SAP2000 or ETABS
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building codes and local regulations
• Experience with structural steel, concrete, and wood design
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with structural analysis tools
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
