Structural Bridge Engineer in Training

Are we the road to your future? We are currently searching for an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer in Training (E.I.) to support our Southeast Region located in Tampa, FL or Orlando, FL. To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. The ideal candidate will assist a team of Engineers on a variety of projects such as structural design and engineering studies by performing engineering-related tasks including design, plans production and preparing deliverables on assigned project(s). What You’ll Be Doing Perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic structural engineering principlesProjects may include design and repair of highway bridges and retaining walls, bridge load ratings, review of working drawings and cost estimatingAssist in the preparation of project quantities and cost estimates Assist in the analysis of structures using various structural engineering software programsAssist and prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials, predominantly steel and concretePrepare structural drawings in Open Bridge, MicroStation and AutoCADWork collaboratively as part of our Structures Team What You Need To Have Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil EngineeringEmphasis in structural knowledge1 – 5 years of structural engineering experience (preferably FDOT)Previous FDOT experience desired but not requiredEIT (E.I) Certification is requiredExperience with MicroStation Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
