Structural Analyst II/lll
About the role

- Serve as a structural analyst performing static and dynamic structural analyses of flight vehicles in the strategic missiles and reentry vehicle area.
- Utilize a combination of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tools (Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB) and Textron developed software tools to generate structural characteristics and responses.
- Define recommended changes to improve the performance/efficiency of structural design features.
- Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports.
Responsibilities
Serve as a structural analyst performing static and dynamic structural analyses of flight vehicles in the strategic missiles and reentry vehicle area.
Utilize a combination of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) tools (Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB) and Textron developed software tools to generate structural characteristics and responses.
Define recommended changes to improve the performance/efficiency of structural design features.
Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports.
Up to 5% travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 2+ years' of experience in structural analysis and design (Level II).
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years' of experience in structural analysis and design (Level III).
- Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of COTS structural/mechanical tools (Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB) and a desire to obtain a working knowledge of Textron developed software.
- Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to document structural analysis methodology and results.
- Excellent communication skills are required, as the position requires the description/documentation of structural analysis techniques and results using a variety of tools (PowerPoint, Word).

This role is open at multiple levels. Candidates will be hired at a level consistent with their background and experience:
- Level II: $92,600 - $139,600
- Level III: $115,800 - $176,200
