Structural Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis of mechanical systems for space applications
• Work with a multi-disciplined team to provide structural design trades and design/analysis assessments of aerospace systems
• Create analysis data packages and documentation to support peer and customer reviews
• Present analysis data to engineering teams and customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of static, fatigue, dynamics, damage tolerance and other structural analysis methods
• Experience with Implicit/Explicit Structural Finite Element Modeling/Analysis (FEM/FEA)
• Experience with multi-physics or shock dynamics modeling
• Experience with the various elements of mechanical design, including selection of structural materials, adhesive and fastener selection
• Experience using parametric CAD software to create models of assemblies, parts and drawings

Pay

The annual pay range for the Structural Analyst position is $120,000 to $200,000.
