About the role

The Structural Analyst evaluates, organizes, and maintains construction-related material, equipment, and labor pricing data for estimating applications and the publication of building cost information across the United States and Canada. This role supports the accuracy and integrity of a comprehensive construction pricing database by maintaining existing items, developing new items based on market research and business requirements, and reviewing incoming pricing information. The position also involves responding to customer inquiries via phone and email, conducting research for special projects, and validating construction-related data to ensure high-quality database publications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop construction line items for use within estimating applications.
  • Provide professional support to customers by addressing phone and email inquiries related to the construction database.
  • Review and validate line items and pricing information as part of the monthly publication cycle.
  • Research and assess the application of sales tax to construction-related services.
  • Contribute to special projects, research initiatives, and other business priorities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in the construction industry, such as estimating, construction project management, general contracting, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction practices, installation methods, and applicable industry standards.
  • Experience using estimating software applications and Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish, manage, and measure individual goals and priorities.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a professional environment.
