Stroke Neurologist

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated vascular neurologist to join our team at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic interdisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient outcomes through cutting-edge research, innovative treatments, and compassionate care.

Our physicians and researchers collaborate with Geisel School of Medicine scientists and faculty as well as other leading healthcare organizations to develop new treatments at the cutting edge of medical practice, bringing the latest medical discoveries to patients.

In this role, you will have a mix of inpatient and outpatient vascular neurology responsibilities, the option for research time, and serve as an active member of the Acute Response Team. You will also receive an academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and join a large (50+ providers), collegial neurology team.

Dr. Timothy Lukovits, Section Chief of Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke, shares that he appreciates networking with less-resourced hospitals in northern New England while enjoying a 10-minute commute, proximity to the Appalachian Trail, and access to activities on a beautiful college campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient vascular neurology care
• Participate as an active member of the Acute Response Team
• Engage in clinical research and/or academic scholarship in vascular neurology
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance patient care and treatment innovations

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Neurology by ABPN
• Ability to obtain and maintain a New Hampshire medical license
• Excellent clinical skills and proficiency in vascular neurology assessment and management
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care with compassion and empathy
• Demonstrated interest in clinical research and/or academic scholarship in vascular neurology
