Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require One (1) year of experience in traffic control or traffic operations, including installation and maintenance of traffic control devices, or two (2) years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or construction of roadsHigh school diploma or GED Other Requirements Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hireMust possess, or have the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire, an American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) Flagging certification We Also Value Experience driving a Paint Stripe Truck and/or a Chase TruckCompletion of IMSA level 1 Signs & MarkingsCompletion of "ATSSA Flagger" and "ATSSA Traffic Control TechnicianClass A CDL with tanker endorsement Job Contributions Install and maintain roadway pavement markingsOperate a 2 ½ ton paint stripe truck, chase truck, sweeper, or other vehicles and equipment as neededLoad and unload equipment and materialsPerform Pre-check and Pre-inspection of VehiclesRead maps, plan routes, prioritize assigned tasks, clean, and maintain the paint systemInterpret and/or draw traffic diagrams and/or sketches of pavement marking layoutsInterpret and mark roadways for the application of the appropriate roadway markingsAssess and report roadway and traffic control conditionsOperate and maintain two-way radio contact with MCDOT Dispatch Working Conditions Required The employee in this position may be required to exert 50-100 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly. Work may be performed both outdoors and in a vehicle.
