About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, part-time Itinerant String Specialist for the Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School Feeder Chain 2026–2027 school year. This position is housed at Enterprise Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with music teachers across multiple schools to support student learning in music and string instruction, serving students in grades 5–12.
• Primary instrument of study is strings.
• Collaborates with school-based music teachers and key stakeholders to develop and sustain high-quality orchestra programs beginning in fifth grade and continuing through high school.
• Recommends and models best practices in string technique, pedagogy, repertoire selection, assessment, and program management.
• Supports and adheres to district, school, and classroom procedures and expectations.

Qualifications/Certifications

• Must hold valid Florida Teaching Certification in Music K-12.
• Reliable transportation is required to travel between school sites.
