Stress Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities
Guides and reviews the development and execution of specific design plans as related to stress analysis
Produces stress analysis reports for stress critical designs
Buils FEMs (Finite Element Model) and performs FEM analysis
Aids in the development in processes, standards, and templates as they relate to stress
Cooorminates with stakeholders and manages off-load work
Communicates and consults with customers, engineers, operations, and other stakeholders
Performs design activities as needed to support Project Team requirements
Cooorminates tool specifications and plan design reviews
Enforces industry standards and practices throughout all work performed
Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
- Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed.
- Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Education/Experience Required
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Civil or a related field is required
- 1 or more years of experience with stress analysis required
- 1 or more years of experience with mechanical design required
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- Experience working with composites, in a lean manufacturing environment or working with complex aircraft assemblies is ideal
- Experience with any of the following software preferred: Sim center Femap / Nastran, MS Office, Mathcad, Catia, NX or SolidWorks, VBA, Python, or MATLAB
DETAILED WAGE INFORMATION
Salary range for this role is between $83,000 - $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts.
