Strengthening EM’s presence in Colombia
About the Agency
EM Marketing & Communication has established a distinctive presence in 2023 through a blend of creativity, innovation, and strategic communication. Specializing in promotion for Caribbean islands aiming to strengthen ties with Latin America, EM is an allied member of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO). The agency focuses on enhancing market positioning and showcasing the diverse opportunities each destination offers to trade partners and the general public.
In 2023, EM supported Antigua and Barbuda in Public Relations and Marketing efforts across Latin America, developed press strategies for regional islands, organized fam-press trips for journalists and influencers, and disseminated key news in trade media. In collaboration with the CTO, EM also participated in major global tourism industry fairs alongside several member countries.
“EM has demonstrated exceptional strategic vision by staying ahead of trends and technologies. The agency has not only kept pace with change but has led the way, developing projects on new platforms and formats to achieve successful results,” says Elsa Petersen, CEO of EM Marketing & Communication.
Plans for 2024
Known for its innovative and creative approach, EM is preparing strategies to support Caribbean countries in their 2024 initiatives. “After a successful and innovative 2023, we aim for a 2024 full of opportunities,” Petersen states, adding that the team is already planning various initiatives for the new year alongside clients.
The agency is evaluating its participation as an allied member of the CTO in key trade events, including:
- WTM Latin America: Taking place April 15–17, this three-day B2B travel and tourism event offers business opportunities and access to qualified buyers and influencers.
- Caribbean Travel Marketplace: The 42nd edition will be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica, from May 20–23.
- Showcase Antigua and Barbuda 2024: Organized by the Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) and the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA), this event runs from June 4–7.
- Caribbean Week New York: The CTO’s annual event, scheduled for June 10–14, aims to showcase the best of Caribbean travel, culture, customs, and people.
EM has not only made an impact in the past year but has also laid the foundation for a future driven by innovation and success.
