Responsibilities
- Assist in writing and implementing training programs for individual athletes and groups.
- Conduct mock assessments and provide recommendations for athlete performance improvement.
- Attend lectures, workshops, and meetings throughout the semester.
- Learn and apply proper lifting techniques, safety protocols, and injury prevention strategies.
- Engage in daily facility operations, including equipment maintenance, cleaning, and enforcing rules and regulations.
- Participate in planning and executing special events and projects.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and team coaches.
- Assist in business and front desk operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and athlete progress.
Requirements
- Passion for strength and conditioning and a desire to work with both athletes and adults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a plus.
- Able to commit 20-40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
- Basic knowledge of exercise physiology and strength training principles.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced coaches and supervisors.
- Current CPR/AED certification is preferred.
