Responsibilities

  • Assist in writing and implementing training programs for individual athletes and groups.
  • Conduct mock assessments and provide recommendations for athlete performance improvement.
  • Attend lectures, workshops, and meetings throughout the semester.
  • Learn and apply proper lifting techniques, safety protocols, and injury prevention strategies.
  • Engage in daily facility operations, including equipment maintenance, cleaning, and enforcing rules and regulations.
  • Participate in planning and executing special events and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and team coaches.
  • Assist in business and front desk operations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions and athlete progress.

Requirements

  • Passion for strength and conditioning and a desire to work with both athletes and adults.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a plus.
  • Able to commit 20-40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
  • Basic knowledge of exercise physiology and strength training principles.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced coaches and supervisors.
  • Current CPR/AED certification is preferred.
